According to the Financial Times, Apple is reportedly looking to hire engineers with a background in wearable computing to work on its smart watch. Inside sources say Apple is struggling with engineering problems and needs to bring in additional talent. Details on the technological hurdles that are styming Apple were not revealed by the anonymous source.

The Financial Times report also claims Apple’s iWatch is about a year from hitting the market, which could put the company behind its bigger rivals, like Microsoft, Samsung and Google, which are also rumored to be working on an iWatch product.
