On the heels of the Android 4.3 update, Sony announced on its blog that all of its newer Xperia devices will get their updates soon. Among the “affected” phones are Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia SP and Xperia Z Ultra, as well as the Xperia Tablet Z.
Unfortunately, the Japanese company failed to share any dates, leaving us pondering when to expect the new firmware. Hopefully this will be a short wait.
In the meantime, we’ll keep following for all Android 4.3 news and let you know when other handset makers unveil their schedule. That said, we like how Sony didn’t waste any time and was quick to inform its users that its engineers are already evaluating the new version of the Android platform and have started to work on the updates. Yeah, we’d like to see all other companies doing something similar.
