HTC One Android 4.2.2 Update Rolling Out In Various European Countries

Canada's Mobilicity and Videotron soon to start selling HTC One

Some European HTC One owners are receiving a firmware update today, which is bringing Android 4.2.2 to the device. According to the Android Central forums, the update is now live in Scandinavian countries, and will more than likely be rolling out to the rest of Europe soon.

The 417MB update includes:

  • Launcher bar enhancement

  • Widget panel rearrangement

  • New lock screen style and widget

  • Enhanced behavior of the home button

  • The death of the black bar

  • Battery percentage in the status bar

  • Quick settings

  • AE/AF enhancements in the camera

Even though the update is hitting some devices today, it may be awhile before the update rolls out to every European HTC One. If you’d like to check and see if the update is ready to roll, go to Settings > About > Software updates on your HTC One to manually update.
