With January fast approaching, all eyes are on Samsung. The company is rumored to unveil its next flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S5 sometime in January, and Samsung fans are pumped to say the least. Not only will the Galaxy S5 be a direct follow-up to the Galaxy S4 , it is expected to usher in a new age of smartphone specs, supposedly touting a 64-bit processor, an iris scanner and 3GB of RAM. With today’s news of Samsung developing 4GB RAM modules for use in smartphones, we could see that amount pop up in the Galaxy S5. A new Galaxy S5 concept design has graced the interwebs, giving us a look at what Sammy could have in store for us in 2014.
The newest concept design comes to us from GalaxyS5Info, who have created a few other Galaxy S5 concepts earlier this year. The new concept plays with the curved body idea, even though the S5 isn’t expected to rock one. It sure looks cool though!
Here are the key specs of the Galaxy S5:
- Android 4.4 KitKat
- 64 Bit Exynos-Octa core processor
- 4 GB RAM
- 5.25″ Flexi-UHD (2K) display
- 16 MP ISOCELL camera
- Wireless headphones ; Quad-surround speakers
- Iris scanner
The conceptualized Galaxy S5 features a 5.2 inch flexible curved display with 2K resolution, a 16MP ISOCELL camera capable of capturing 4K images and videos. The front-facing camera come sin at a whopping 4MP, with a proximity and ambient light sensor residing nearby. An iris scanner is included, as well as quad speakers which reside on the edges of the device.
Time will tell just exactly what the Samsung Galaxy S5 is made of. Until then, enjoy the concept, and check out our Best of Galaxy S5 concepts post. More pictures can be found at the source below.
