Archos Debuting Archos 45 and 50 Helium 4G LTE Smartphones at CES

Archos announced a new line of affordable 4G LTE smartphones today, the Archos Helium 45 and Helium 50. The two devices will be unveiled at CES next week, and mark the birth of Archos’ Helium line which will pack mid-range specs into an affordable package.


Made with emerging markets and first-time smartphone owners in mind, the Archos Helium devices both run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and rock quad-core Qualcomm processors at a clock speed of 1.4GHz.


The Archos 50 Helium 4G features a 5 inch 1280 x 720 IPS touchscreen, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot for memory expansion. An 8MP camera with 1080p video capture is included along with a 2,000mAh battery. As for the Archos 45 Helium 4G, the device rocks a 4.5 inch 854 x 480 FWVGA acreen, 1GB of RAM, a 1,700 mAh battery and 4GB of internal storage. Memory can be expanded via a microSD slot.


The Archos 45 Helium will run $199, and the 50 Helium $249.
