Huawei is aiming to ship 80 million smartphones globally this year, growing 53.8% compared to the previous year.
Of that number, the Honor 3C alone — which was launched at the end of 2013 — should account for 20 million units.
In order to make this happen, Huawei plans to spend $300 million on global marketing with 40% of the sum going to the local market.
Last year, Huawei shipped 52 million smartphones, up 62.5% on year, while its cloud services counted some 80 million subscribers. We would assume these cloud services are mainly used in China, though.
Next month we expect to see Huawei officially announcing the Ascend P7, a fancy lookin’ mid-ranger that could help the company reach its bold goal.
