Sprint Expands 4G LTE to 41 New Cities, Spark to Six New Locations

Sprint Spark LTE service hits Kansas City

Sprint continues to expand across the U.S> with the addition of 41 new cities to its 4G LTE footprint today, and with it six new locations where Sprint’s Spark tri-band enhanced LTE is now available. That bring’s Sprint’s 4G LTE coverage to 225 million people, with the company expecting to reach 250 million people by mid-year. Spark will take longer to rollout however, with Sprint expecting to blanket 100 million people with Spark very soon.

  • Long Island, N.Y.

  • Minneapolis, MN

  • Phoenix, AZ

Sprint Spark is in its infancy, but promises a huge increase in data speeds for those who utilize the service. Using three wireless bands, Spark can deliver up to 60Mbps when utilizing a Sprint Spark enabled device. There are currently 14 Spark enabled devices, including the Samsung Galaxy S5 and HTC One M8.
