T-Mobile powered MVNO Ultra Mobile may not be a household name compared to the rest of the virtual operators and in-house prepaid brands operated directly by T-Mobile, but the service focused on international calling is making a big push to take monthly flat-rate pricing as low as it can go with the latest update to its $19 monthly plan, which now includes unlimited domestic voice and text messaging along with 100MB of data access per month which includes access to T-Mobile LTE. This makes Ultra Mobile the new leader in low-cost flat-rate GSM service that isn’t limited to specific devices or excludes increasingly desired data access.
In keeping with its focus on international calling, the plan also includes unlimited calls to 10 selected countries instead of the previous 1000 minute allotment to 40 countries while adding a call credit of $1.25 each month. The ten countries include landlines and mobile phones in Canada, China, Singapore and Thailand while the landline-only countries are France, Israel, Mexico, Portugal, United Kingdom and Venezuela. Additional data packages are available when needed for an extra fee which ranges from 200MB for $2.50, 500MB for $5 and 1GB for$10.
