Despite manufacturers starting to pay more and more attention to the quality of the infotainment systems they integrate with their vehicles, it's more than fair to say that the industry as a whole is just now starting to play catch-up. And even if you're one of few folks out there with a brand new card with support for either Android Auto or Apple Car, literally billions of vehicles out there are still limited to either horribly outdated solutions that do little other than multimedia (and even that), or have no such system at all.
