Google Debuts Wireless Headphones with Real-Time Translation

Google today announced the Pixel Buds, Bluetooth headphones that provide direct access to Google Assistant. All the controls are available through a capacitive touch surface on the right earbud, which supports tapping and swiping gestures. A touch-and-hold action activates the Google Assistant, which can open apps, spin playlists, and perform searches. Moreover, the Pixel Buds include real-time translations when used with a Google Pixel. People can ask for phrases to be translated, which can then be read aloud via the handset's speaker. The headphones include a charging case that provides up to 24 hours of battery life. Google says the Pixel Buds, which come in black, white, or blue, go on sale for $159 in November.
