Nokia launches YouTube upload app for Windows Phone

Nokia launches YouTube upload app for Windows Phone

If you’re a Windows Phone user, you’re probably having hard time uploading your videos to YouTube. The problem lies somewhere in the Google-Microsoft relationship that has prevented such an app from hitting the Windows Phone Marketplace. No more!

It looks like Nokia couldn’t wait for neither of the two companies to launch the application, so it decided to take its own route. So the “YouTube Upload” was born and found its way in the Marketplace from where any Windows Phone user can grab it free of charge.

But wait – apparently YouTube Upload works only on the hot-new Lumia 1020. According to TheVerge, it refused to run on the Lumia 800 and Lumia 900, though that could change quickly since WVGA resolution is supported. You should try downloading it and see if it works on your device.

As for the built-in features, YouTube Upload is pretty basic, allowing you to either select a video and beam it to the servers or do the same thing using the Nokia Video Trimmer app…
