Vodafone has agreed to sell its 45% stake in Verizon Wireless to Verizon Communications for $130 billion, according to The Wall Street Journal. The deal is not yet official, and must still be approved by the companies' boards of directors. That approval and an official announcement may come as soon as Monday, says the Journal. Vodafone's board planned to meet today to discuss the matter, and Verizon's board will convene once Vodafone's board comes to a decision. The deal will give Verizon Communications 100% control over Verizon Wireless, which has until now been a joint venture.
