Xiaomi has officially announced the MiPhone 3, its next flagship device that will (at least initially) be sold only in China. The powerful smartphone rocks some of the best hardware out there, including a 5-inch full HD screen from Sharp, 13-megapixel Exmor RS CMOS camera sensor from Sony, and a super fast processor made by either NVIDIA or Qualcomm. Yup, the MiPhone 3 will be available in different versions, some of which will rock Tegra 4 or Snapdragon 800 processor, both of which are super-fast. The former version will be sold to China Mobile’s customers, whereas the one featuring Qualcomm’s chip will be available for users on China Unicom and China Telecom.
Rest of the specs include 2GB of RAM, 16 or 64 GB (Tegra 4 version) of internal storage, 3,050mAh battery, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC and so on. The best thing is the price – the 16GB model with Snapdragon 800 will go for 1,999 Yuan which translates into just $330. On the other hand, the Tegra 4-powered 64GB unit will sell for 2,499 Yuan ($410).
Yeah, we really, really want to see Xiaomi bringing this baby to the Western hemisphere. And are hoping that Hugo Barra will help them speed up that process.
