The difference between Sunday's leak and the earlier fake, is with the flash. The photoshopped picture that tried to get passed off as the M8 showed a dual flash set-up with two different holes drilled for the placement of each LED flash. Today's picture shows both LEDs together in one elliptical shaped cut-out.This difference is probably what HTC Regional Director Marc Moons noticed when he called the original picture a photoshopped fake.
Another set of pictures shows the on-screen navigational keys. One picture was taken with the phone in landscape, and the other in portrait, so we can see how the keys rotate.
The HTC M8 could be in your hands as soon as next month. The latest rumored specs include a 5 inch screen with 1080 x 1920 resolution, powered by a quad-core 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU with an Adreno 330 GPU inside. 2GB of RAM is on board. The back camera is an (ultrapixel) 4MP snapper while the front camera weighs in at 5MP. Android 4.4 is pre-installed.
