Verizon unveils a pair of low-cost phones – LG Zone 2 and LG Extravert 2

LG Zone 2 and LG Extravert 2

Without much fanfare, Verizon Wireless unveiled a pair low-cost devices, LG Zone 2 and LG Extravert 2, both of which lack 4G LTE connectivity support and are limited to 3G speeds.

The Zone 2 is an Android 4.4 KitKat-powered smartphone that comes with a 3.5-inch HVGA screen, Qualcomm’s 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of RAM, 3-megapixel camera on the back, 4GB of expandable storage (with microSD cards) and a 1,700 mAh battery.

When it comes to the LG Extravert 2, it’s a feature phone that’s selling for just $79.99. It has a 3.2-inch screen, side-sliding QWERTY keyboard, 2-megapixel camera, and preloaded Opera Mini web browser. It’s a device made for texting maniacs on a budget.

As you would imagine, we advise everyone to skip these two except if they really can’t afford something better…
