Next generation Huawei Kirin 940 and 950 chipset specs leak: Cortex-A72 and i7 coprocessor

Huawei has barely begun to use its top-shelf Kirin 930 chipset in a device, as the MediaPad X2 was just outed recently at the MWC expo, and it's already on the prowl for the next generation chipsets in the Kirin army.

Unlike the previous models, those won't be graphics wimps anymore, as the Kirin 930 isn't either. Instead, we can expect trendy Cortex-A72 computing, top-notch Mali T860 and T880 graphics, 4K encoding, and dual image signal processors.

An interesting twist are the always-on coprocessors for the sensors, connectivity and even security functions ...
