Unannounced Nexus phone caught at Google KitKat statue video

It looks like Google is preparing to launch a new Nexus phone now that the price of Nexus 4 has been slashed by $100. And while we still wait to see what the next Google phone will be all about, we do think it has been leaked in the Google KitKat statue video, where one employee is using the mysterious Nexus phone/phablet to take a photo (or video) of the statue. That video has been promptly removed but alas we’ve got the screenshot above to share. And by removing the clip from YouTube, Google only spiced-up the rumors surrounding the next Nexus smartphone.

The device on the image above is big, flat with the “Nexus” logo on the back in landscape orientation. In fact, it looks like a shrunken Nexus 7 but… it’s not Nexus 7.

If we would have to guess, we would say that the next Nexus device will come with top-notch hardware, boasting Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 quad-core chip, 2GB of RAM and so on. We will, however, have to wait a little longer to get additional details. Stay tuned in the meantime…
