HTC Desire 601 Android 4.4 KitKat + Sense 5.5 rollout has started

HTC has started rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update for its mid-range Desire 601 smartphone. As part of the same software, users will also get Sense 5.5 which may not be as cool as the brand-new Sense 6.0 but it’s nice, nevertheless. You can expect additional BlinkFeed options, updated camera and gallery apps, Video Highlights, new Zoe, DND mode, Quick Settings and Scribble app. Plus, let’s not forget the usual bug fixes, tweaks and performance improvements that should make for a that much better user experience.

From what I’ve understood, the first place to get the new software is Singapore but we’re sure other countries will follow shortly. Furthermore, this update is coming to both single- and dual-SIM variants. Feel free to manually check whether the new firmware is awaiting – hop over to “Settings” -> “About phone” and take it from there…
